Communication minister Manoj Sinha Tuesday launched a Twitter hashtag, #TwitterSeva where people can register their complaints regarding postal and communication services in the country, and said resolving the call drops issue was a top priority.
Launching the hashtag, Sinha told reporters that the idea was to address consumer complaints at the earliest. Sinha was appointed as the new telecom minister following a cabinet reshuffle last month.
Under this new initiative, all complaints lodged on the Twitter hashtag will be classified as immediate, mid term and long term.
Sinha who met with the telecom industry honchos last week said resolving the issue of call drops was a chief priority and that the department was working together with telecom operators to improve the situation of telecom networks across the country.
